Rocking stitch is a simple yet satisfying crochet pattern. It's sturdy and thick. With a larger hook, it can be flowy. It is suitable for both outer garments and blankets.

Abbreviations:

Sc3tog - Single crochet three together


Chain an even number of stitches

  1. Sc2tog over 2nd and 3rd ch from hook, *ch1, sc3tog over prev ch and next 2 ch*, repeat across to last ch, ch1, sc2tog over prev ch and last ch, ch1, turn.

  2. Sc2tog over 1st and next ch-sp, *ch1, sc3tog over prev ch-sp and next sc and ch-sp*, repeat across to sc2tog, sc2tog over prev ch-sp and last sc, ch1, turn.

Repeat row 2 until you reach desired length.
