Knitting abbreviation SSK stands for slip 2 stitches knitwise, knit these 2 stitches together through the back loops. This is a single left-leaning decrease and is a counterpart to k2tog.
Insert the right-hand needle into the next stitch knitwise and slip it off the left-hand needle onto the right-hand needle; repeat this step once more. Insert the left-hand needle into both slipped stitches through the front loops from left to right so that the right-hand needle is in the back and points left and away from you. Wrap the yarn around the right-hand needle and pull it through both stitches, sliding the slipped stitches off and leaving a new stitch on the right-hand needle.
