Knitting abbreviation Sl1P stands for slip 1 purlwise. It is a very common slip stitch, which brings the stitch onto the right-hand needle without twisting it.

Insert the right-hand needle into the stitch through the front loop, going from right to left with the tip of the needle pointing to the left and towards you. Slip the stitch off the left-hand needle, keeping it on the right-hand needle.
