Knitting abbreviation Ktbl stands for knit through back loop. It is a twisted variation of the knit stitch.

Insert the right-hand needle into a stitch with the needle pointing left and away from you, wrap the yarn around the right-hand needle and pull it through sliding the worked stitch off the left-hand needle leaving the new stitch on the right-hand needle.
