Knitting abbreviation K2tog stands for knit 2 together. It is the most common right-leaning single stitch decrease. It's also most commonly used when a decrease in a pattern is not specified.
To make this stitch, insert the right-hand needle into two stitches through front loops, wrap yarn around the right-hand needle and pull it through both stitches, nudging them off the left-hand needle, leaving the new single stitch on the right-hand needle.
