Knitting abbreviation EON stands for end of needle and refers to double-pointed needles. When knitting in the round with double-pointed needles, you might have a pattern which only occurs on a specific needle, and you will be asked to repeat this pattern to the end of a particular needle. For example, knit in seed stitch to end of 2nd needle, continue in stockinette stitch to end of round.
